SR 169 closure for fish barrier removal

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

Starting Monday, Aug. 17, both directions of State Route 169 will close between Southeast 332nd Street and Plass Road near Jones Lake for 35 days to remove a fish barrier, according to WSDOT. The closure will be in effect from 12:01 a.m. Aug. 17 to 5 a.m. Sept. 21. Local access north and south of the closure remains permitted, and businesses along SR 169 will stay open. WSDOT states signed detours will guide drivers around the work zone. The project aims to improve fish passage in the area, a key environmental goal for the region.
