Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office confirmed on June 24, 2026, that a black Honda Accord found submerged in Arkansas Creek contained the body of Lori Moore, a 55-year-old woman reported missing on June 20.
The vehicle was discovered on June 24 in the 400 block of Delameter Road in Castle Rock after a citizen reported it. Detectives determined the car had left the roadway in the 300 block of Delameter Road, traveled through a field, and overturned into Arkansas Creek, which was about 3 feet deep at the location. Moore's next of kin have been notified, and the Sheriff's Office extended condolences to her family and friends.
The Sheriff's Office had been seeking public assistance since June 20 when Moore's family reported her missing after she failed to return home following a visit to Castle Rock on June 19. Moore had missed a Father's Day event and was known to have a heart condition. Detectives had tracked her last known movements using cellular records and video footage from a known acquaintance's property.
