October is Disability History Month Oct 5 2026 10:43 AM Longview Public Schools is recognizing disability history throughout our district this October. Our aim is to increase awareness and understanding of the contributions of people with disabilities in our society. We believe that recognizing disability history will increase respect and promote acceptance of people with disabilities. By recognizing disability history, we hope to inspire students with disabilities to feel more pride, reduce bullying, and help them stay in school.
