WSDOT announced several road closures and lane reductions affecting Longview area travelers starting Monday, Sept. 14.
Northbound I-5 will close up to two lanes nightly from Sept. 14 to Sept. 20 between mileposts 18.2 and 21.5 for concrete panel replacement. I-5 shoulder closures will occur daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. near SR 500 interchange through Sept. 18 for utility work. Westbound SR 6 between Rainbow Falls State Park and Hope Creek Road will reduce to one lane daily from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through Sept. 30 for tree trimming. A southbound I-5 lane closure near milepost 88 will occur Sept. 21 for guardrail repairs.
Travelers should expect delays and reduced speed limits. WSDOT advises planning ahead and moving over in work zones. The I-5 concrete work ends Sept. 20, utility work ends Sept. 18, SR 6 work ends Sept. 30, and the guardrail repair occurs Sept. 21.
